A. A Specimen Validity Test (SVT) tests for the protein creatinine, a protein is always present in human urine. If there is no creatinine present, the specimen is not human urine. Also, the test checks for Specific Gravity and pH. Together, these three tests provide measured results that can effectively evaluate if the specimen is human urine.
