Alcohol can be detected up to 80 hours in urine.

EtG/EtS test is a urine based laboratory test that detects the metabolites of alcohol: Ethyl Glucuronide[EtG] and Ethyl Sulfate[EtS] in human urine.

Utilizing urine EtG/EtS detection, we have the ability to detect the usage of alcohol over a much longer period of time.

  • EtG/EtS is a direct metabolite of alcohol, and is more accurate than indirect measures (MCV, CDT, GGT, etc). It is not a product of in vivo fermentation.
  • For abstinence testing, EtG/EtS is the definitive test.
  • EtG/EtS is superior to traditional methods of alcohol testing because it remains in the blood stream longer and therefore has a longer window of detection (3-4 days).
  • EtG/EtS is a stable compound detectable in the urine, blood, hair and post-mortem tissue.
  • EtG/EtS can be used to determine whether or not alcohol has been recently consumed.
